The concerts present the most popular works of the most well-known artists of the musical literature: Charpentier, Albinoni, Caccini, Bach, Purcell, Händel, Gounod, C. Franck, Ferenc Liszt and Ch. M. Widor at the main Altar of the Basilica, and from the gallery on the world famous historic organ. From 22 April 2016, Budapest is hosting an exhibition dedicated to one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century: Picasso - Transfigurations, 1895-1972 is organised by the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest - Hungarian National Gallery in collaboration with the Musée national Picasso - Paris. Boasting over a hundred paintings, drawings, sculptures and other artworks, this exhibition embraces every period of Picasso's career, paying particular attention to one aspect of his ouvre: the constant transfigurations in his portrayal of the human figure. The Musical Fountain is located near the southern end of the Margaret island, not far away from the Margaret-bridge. It is one of the most well known attractions on the island. The Musical Fountain was renovated in 2013. Its musical repertoire was also renewed. The performance is accompanied by special light effects, popular and classical music. If you want to hear the whole repertoire, head there at 6 or 9pm. After sunset the illuminated Music Fountain fountain is really a romantic spot in Budapest.
